Welcome New Readers!

For my BCM110 and BCM112 classes at Uni, we’re required to use wordpress to blog about everything we do. So I’ve decided to just use my current blog, and just add my uni posts to it as well. That’s why I have a lot more posts than most people would at this stage 😛

To any new readers, all my BCM posts can be found through the headers up the top. This main feed shows everything I post, and I tend to post about a range of subjects and topics, as you can probably tell by the headers. If you’re interested to know a little more about me, you can read my ABOUT page, but I’ll mention some of the highlights.

So my names Jake Pascoe. I live in Gymea, Sydney, Australia. I love Football (or soccer, whatever you prefer to call it), I love taking photos and videos, and I hope to become a director one day. Im a big fan on indie music, but I like a whole range of music really. My current music obsession is Keaton Henson, and you can expect a blog post about him soon when I have some free time. Im a huge Manchester United Supporter, and I’ve seen every home Australia game since 2010.

I love to laugh and make friends, I make bad jokes, and i’m looking forward to meeting a lot of new people. If anyone has any questions about wordpress, i’ve had this domain for 2 years, so feel free to shoot me any questions in the comments, my twitter or even my email jake.pascoe@hotmail.com

Anyway, great start to #UniLyf, I hope you enjoy reading my blog

UOW O-Week

Tomorrow I have the UOW Orientation week for my faculty. I’m pretty excited to go to all the events, and to start all my classes. I’ll admit, it’s always a bit nervy on your first day, but I feel excited to start. I’ll be keeping alot more active on my blog during uni, i’ll probably be blogging on all my breaks and uploading alot more pictures. Im buying a new DSLR soon, and i’ve been taking my old one along everywhere I go, so you can expect some more photos too. I recently bought a new book, Alex Ferguson’s Autobiography. It’s a great read. He was THE best manager in the world, and he will be remembered as one of the best managers to have lived. He has won Manchester United 38 trophies over 27 years. I’ll miss him.

Robbie Kruse Injured For 2014 world Cup

Robbie Kruse was recently injured while training for his club Bayer Leverkusen, and an MRI showed that he would be out until next season. Robbie Kruse was one of Australia’s best current players, and hottest prospects for the future, and with this injury, Australia’s fate for going through to the knockout stage for the world cup went from almost none, to utterly no chance.

Alot of Australia’s players are old, too old to be playing for us. Especially Lucas Neil. Tim Cahill is lucky to be on the squad still, his world class heading ability, combined with Kruse and Oar’s crossing has provided Australia with it’s main attack force.

Under new Management, Ange faces the difficulty of choosing an experienced side, but also players that have consistant playing time. This is hard for Australian players, because most Experienced players are too old, or don’t get enough playing time at their European clubs.

I know i’ll be screaming at the TV during the matches, and supporting them with all my heart, but there’s only so much we can do when we were placed in the group of death.

Manchester United’s 2013/2014 Season

Manchester United’s 2013/2014 season is looking rather dismal. Sir Alex Ferguson retired after last season, and David Moyes took over as Manager, leaving Everton. Fergie left behind a middle league team for Moyes, and made it rather difficult for him to attain a high place in the Premier League this season. Having brought Fellaini with him to strengthen the midfield, and looking for other high class players to sign (Mata from Chelsea), Moyes is looking to fast track United’s recovery.

I’ve personally taken a realistic look at the situation, especially after the Cup loses, and it will take some time for us to retain the top spot in England, and to retain our elevated European status. I have #FaithInMoyes and I know that Manchester United, and Alex Ferguson wouldn’t have wanted him to take over, if they didnt see something special.

And just to point out, Moyes has already won more games with United in his first season then Ferguson did in his #FunFact

Hippie Party

I recently attended my friends 18th birthday party, and the theme of the night was “Hippie”. I of course went full out, and it turned out to be a great theme, because it was easy and cheap to get things together.

There weren’t to many photo’s of me, but here I am on the right;Image

All in all, a very good night.
